Emergency Travel
Your Guyana passport is expired, and you need to travel to Guyana because of a family emergency (sickness or death), please visit the Emergency Travel section for details on applying for an Emergency Travel Document.
Arrest and Detention
If you are a Guyanese citizen and have been arrested or detained, please contact us or request to speak with your Consular Representative. The Guyana Consulate General may be able to offer the following:
1) Providing a list of local attorneys.
2) Contacting a family member in Guyana.
3) Schedule an in-person visit to determine your needs and assist where possible.
